It’s that time of year again when the air is a bit nippy and the earth is preparing to sleep for the long winter. The dogs are enjoying the cooler temps and no longer rush to come back in to the air conditioned house. The Holidays are upon us and the OVIRWSC wishes all a Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2013! Please plan to attend our annual Christmas party on December 1st in Belpre Ohio. We are having a great meal again catered for all members and guests. We need reservations by November 26 to make sure we can give the caterers a head count. We will also have a gift exchange for those would would like to participate. Please limit gifts to $15.
Our second “B” match took place on November 17 at Foundation Park in Fostoria Ohio. Judge Sherry Deans had a nice array of adult IRWS to go over. Judge Deans was very thorough and the dogs responded very well to her. Details of the winners are on the OVIRWS Facebook page with several pictures. Now the work begins as we plan the “A” match which will hopefully be held in May 2013 with the shows in Marietta Ohio. We may be asking for help from the membership to make this final hurdle to full AKC recognition a reality.
Dues notices have been sent out and need to be back in by December 31, 2012. Also on the dues form is the breeders directory renewal. Please think about supporting the club with your listing.
Please start, if you haven’t already, collecting things for the Silent Auction at the May shows. We keep hearing great comments from the all breed people how much they look forward to “shopping” at our raffle!

OVIRWSC AKC Sanctioned B Match
November 17, 2012 the OVIRWSC held their second sanctioned "B" match in Fostoria Ohio at Foundation Park. All our entries were adults but we had a nice assortment of dogs and bitches. Best in Match was Jake and Jonnelle Flatt's White...
hot's Red Sassafrass shown by Jayda Allen and Best Opposite Sex in Match was Maverick Redwood owned by Rachelle Ehrman and shown by Logan Shackleford. We had two junior showmanship competitors and Sherry Deans, judge, gave them a good workout. Jayda and Logan are both wonderful young handlers and showed both dogs very well. In the end, Judge Deans gave the Best Junior nod to Jayda Allen with Sassy. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped with the match! Jim and Rachelle obtained a great location and we so appreciate everything they did to make the match a success! Thanks to judge Sherry for doing a wonderful job! And thank you Barb for the beautiful Christmas cards! Always a pleasure to see you! And to all the dogs, it was so good to see old and young............

This is not an entry level, cheap grooming table, but a table that should and will last you throughout your dog show days if taken care of of properly.
Our table tops start out with 3/4" 11 ply hardwood that is hand cut and routed to perfection. They are then coated in a special non skid, impermeable coating that is waterproof and chemical resistant. Color is added as a second long wearing layer and then clear coated to help seal it all in. The tabletops are mounted on heavy duty H-style adjustable legs that range in height from 23" at the lowest setting to 35" at the tallest.
Since our tables are all crafted and assembled by hand ,we offer just two sizes of tables at this time.
24 x 37 - $269 in Basic Black
26 x 42 - $300 in Basic Black
If you desire a colored table top please add $25 to the size/price table of your choice.
Shipping is calculated by zip code and we will seek to use the most economical carrier possible. Delivery to you at a show can be arranged within the Mid Atlantic region but only during the summer and winter months.

Hope everyone is having a great summer! Here in SE Ohio, it’s been quite warm and stormy! The derecho caused a lot of damage and destruction not to mention 7+ days of power interruption.
GREAT news from AKC! Our By Law changes were approved, our first “B’’ match was approved so we are ready to move on! We need to wait six months from our last match and have another “B” match. After that we will be ready for “A” status and then full AKC recognition! We’d love some input from everyone as to where and when to hold our next match. We’d like a good turnout to show AKC we are prepared to move on. We need puppies and adults with no major points for the match. Please give us any ideas you might have. IF all goes well with the final “B” match we will hold the “A” match in May with the Marietta shows and will then hope to hold our very first official specialty in Fall 2013.
We’d like to hold a picnic this Fall for any club members and guests who can make it. We will have a short meeting at that time as well. The OVIRWSC will furnish the meat entrée and would like for everyone attending to bring a covered dish. We will email with specific date and location soon, watch for details and please plan to attend.
Please send your show brags, hunt test results, planned litters or just fun things that we can put on the website! This is everyone’s club and we’d like to have everyone involved!
As a reminder, it’s never too early to start collecting items for next year’s auction and raffle! We’ve found a few things and I know we can make the next raffle even better than ever!

Your club is a sanctioned AKC club at the Plan B level. Your club’s bylaws are acceptable and a copy of the revised bylaws must be submitted to us along with the club’s presentation for advancement to the Plan A level once the Plan B program is completed. Your club just held its first Plan B match and another will be required (at least 6 months after the first was held) before your club will become eligible to submit a presentation for advancement to this office. Hope this clarifies the process.

Sean...GCH Bronze Mizen Duchas Dilis JH had a wonderful July. At the 4 day cluster in Duluth, MN he won the Breed all 4 days and also placed in the Group all 4 days. A very amazing show cluster for us both. Owner/Handled by me.Daughter Aeryn also finished her Championship, and less than a month later, finished her Grand Championship.
